MicroAlComp
The project Micr-AlComp investigates the cultivation of several microalgae species under varying abiotic conditions. Alterable culture conditions include temperature and light, but also nutrient availability will be simulated to investigate the influence of the abiotic conditions on the biochemical processes of the microalgae. Growth, chlorophyll content, C/N-ratios but also fatty acid composition of the cultured algae will be examined.
The aim of the project Micr-AlComp is to reveal the optimal culture conditions for the required purpose and to offer a broad spectrum of mircoalgal applications. The feed producing industry will be one of the main target groups for the produced microalgae therefore it will be necessary to identify the optimized biochemical composition of the algae.
